I began practice in a large, corporate firm but was drawn to divorce and family law because of its personal nature.  I have always conducted my divorce and family law practice with a focus on achieving what is best for my clients whether that be through negotiation or litigation.   

While practicing exclusively in the area of divorce and family law since 1993, I have gained extensive experience representing clients in divorce and family court and in negotiated settlements.  I have successfully dealt with all issues such as custody and access, child support, spousal support, property division, divorce and common law relationships. 

I am originally from Winnipeg.  I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba.  I articled in Toronto and completed the Bar Admission Course in Ottawa. I have received extensive training in Family Mediation and am a member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.   I am also trained as a collaborative divorce and family lawyer and am a member of the Collaborative Practice Ottawa.
