ABOUT ME
I began practice in a large, corporate firm but was drawn to family law because of its personal nature. I have always conducted my practice with a focus on achieving what is best for my clients whether that be through negotiation or litigation.
I have been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since my call to the bar in 1993. During that time, I have gained extensive experience representing clients in court and in negotiated settlements. I have dealt with all issues including custody and access, child support, spousal support, property division, divorce and common law relationships.
I am originally from Winnipeg. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba. I articled in Toronto and completed the Bar Admission Course in Ottawa. I have received basic and advanced training in mediation. I am also trained as a collaborative family lawyer and am a member of the Collaborative Family Law Network of Ottawa.
I am married with three children.
